What was / is your role in your family of origin?

Home is where your story begins.

What does this mean to you?  Our past experiences in our families influence our present relationships. The common roles taken or prescribed in families include the “hero”, the “scapegoat”, the “lost child”, and the “mascot”.  If you recognize one or more of these roles, ask yourself (and a good friend) if it influences you today, and whether it is helpful or not.

Thanks very much for your comment; am glad you found the information helpful. By the words “using people”, did you mean how parents treat their children which then may end up with the child having a “role”?
